What TFP actually means here.

TFP stands for time for portfolio. You give your time and your talent. We give ours. Nobody writes a check. Both sides walk away with images that actually move the needle. It’s not a transaction — it’s a creative bet we’re both making on the work.

This isn’t something we do when the calendar slows down. This is how we build.

Every TFP shoot at Don Hector Studios gets the same treatment as a paid session. We plan it. We light it properly. We direct it. We retouch the finals until they’re right. Because everything that comes out of this studio has our name on it — and that name means something.

New or experienced — doesn’t matter. What matters is that you show up ready to work and you want images that actually represent what you can do.

Natural, editorial, avant-garde — if you want images of your work shot by someone who knows how to capture makeup the right way, let’s talk.

What you walk away with.

We’re not handing you a gallery of 200 raw files and calling it a day. You get a small number of images that are actually finished — retouched, color-graded, ready to post or print. Quality over quantity. Always.

Pre-production planning
We talk before we shoot. Concept, looks, location, vibe — all of it gets locked down before anyone shows up. The best shoots happen when everyone knows what they came to do.
Proper photography
Professional lighting. Intentional composition. A photographer who knows what they’re doing behind the camera. Not a point-and-shoot situation.
Magazine-ready retouching
Full skin retouching, color grading, the whole process. The finals look like they belong in a campaign — because that’s the standard we hold everything to.
Private gallery delivery
Your finals come through a private online gallery. Download them, post them, use them — just make sure you credit Don Hector Studios when you do.

How the process goes.

Submitting doesn’t lock anything in. Don looks at every submission personally and responds based on fit and timing. If it’s a go — we plan and shoot. If it’s not the right time, we keep it moving.

Fill out the collaboration form on the Collaborate page. Include your Instagram, your role, and what kind of work you want to make. Don reviews every inquiry personally.

We talk it through
If there’s a fit, Don will reach out to discuss the concept, timing, and creative direction. No commitment until we’re both excited about the idea.

Pre-production & shoot
We plan the session — concept, looks, location. Then we show up and execute it the right way. Proper lighting, proper direction, proper production.

Finals delivered
You’ll get your retouched images through a private gallery. Post them, add them to your portfolio, use them to book the work you want.
